The Platte County Health Department seeks valuable input from its Community Action Council (formerly known as the Community Advisory Council).  The Advisory Council gathered information and provided feedback regarding a variety of important public health topics, including:

  • Obesity;
  • Mental Health;
  • Human Trafficking;
  • Poverty;
  • Alcohol and Drugs;
  • Tobacco and E-cigarettes; and
  • Distracted Driving.

Each of the Health Department's community partners play an important role in The Public Health System and together we can make Platte County an even healthier place to live, work, and play.  Valuable inputhas been compiled and can be viewed at the link below:

Community Partners on the Web and Social Media

We will continue to seek the involvement of our community partners as we move forward in the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) process.  Because of the many thriving coalitions and partnerships that have been nurtured in Platte County and the Northland, we have a huge head start in developing a comprehensive CHIP.  When practical, we’ll utilize existing coalitions to focus on the identified priority health issues.  Where gaps exist, we’ll form new focus groups.  Regardless, we’ll seek the continued involvement and valuable input of our community partners.  Together, we can take action that will lead to positive change in our community!
