Manufacturer expects delay in production

Sanofi Pasteur, the only manufacturer of Yellow Fever vaccine in the United States will experience delays in the production process of YF-Vax Yellow Fever vaccine from mid-2017 to mid-2018. During this time, YF-Vax will not be available from the manufacturer.

Yellow Fever is currently available while supplies last and we encourage all travelers with anticipated need for travel in a Yellow Fever endemic area, to please get your vaccine as soon as possible.

An alternative Yellow Fever vaccine, currently in 70 other countries, will be trialed in certain locations in the United States to help bridge the gap and minimize burden on travelers. But geographic locations will be very limited and are yet to be announced.

Once these locations are announced, they can be found at:

https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel

Sanofi Pasteur understands the challenge this poses, and encourages you to not wait to vaccinate, as they are unsure when supply will run out.

Thank you for your understanding. Please call with any further questions.
